Le Havre’s centre, rebuilt by Auguste Perret and UNESCO-listed, is lined with large 1950s reinforced-concrete apartment buildings. This poorly insulated stock is often rated E, F or G, making the EPC a real issue here - both for flat sales and for lettings caught by the phased ban on the worst-performing homes.

How is a DPE carried out in Le Havre?

In the large condominiums of the Perret-rebuilt centre, the assessor records the surface, the thickness and nature of the reinforced-concrete walls, the condition of the joinery and the presence of loggias - all of which weigh on the rating. They check the heating system, frequently collective, hot-water production and ventilation, then apply the 3CL method.

When several units in one building are involved, we combine our visits to limit trips and coordinate access to the common areas and boiler room with the managing agent.
